Halloween is tomorrow?! And we have yet to carve a pumpkin?! If you feel spooked like us, join us on a last-minute romp around the DIY pumpkin patch (I know, I know; only weeks ago we poked fun at decorative gourds, and now we seem to be embracing their orange siblings – oh well, we waffle). Flip-flopping aside, we can say with certainty that it’s never too late to get your crafty ya-yas out. Drawing inspiration from Mexican sugar skulls, Ashley Hackshaw, aka Lil Blue Boo, created lacy owl-o-lanterns by drawing free-form with a Sharpie. A mildly daunting prospect, her tutorial helps guide even the shakiest of hands.
