Henry James once opined: “Summer afternoon—summer afternoon; to me, those have always been the two most beautiful words in the English language.”
We couldn’t agree more, Mr. James. We too sing with summer—from our porch, from our menu. We love the way days linger well into evening, leaving long stretches of daylight for playing. We love the way our patrons hang out well after cleaning their plates, the way meetings stretch beyond topics at hand—all in service of sunbathing. For further enticement, we’ve added a handful of new summer offerings:
Sangria to share
A pink concoction served in a pitcher? What more invitation do you need to sit and sip? This summer, we are brewing our own rose sangria, replete with bobbing citrus slices. Nothing could be more refreshing than a splash of something fruity.
Spritely cocktails
Think A Midsummer Night’s Dream meets speakeasy: Our craft cocktail menu spotlights the flavors of the season while simultaneously quenching that innate thirst felt after a big adventure (be it a weekend brunch or a summit bid). Carbs and cocktails go together like strawberries and cream.
Lawn games
Don’t know the rules of bocce or croquette? No need to fret! We’ll teach you. With equipment on hand and the lawn open for sport, we invite you to kick back and compete. Bets of Persephone menu items are encouraged, as are impromptu leagues. Winners take all (the cookies).
Fresh menu
Yes, we live in the mountains. But that doesn’t curtail our community’s creativity as growers and producers. Visionary locals like those involved in Vertical Harvest help supply us with a delicious bounty. This summer, we’ve crafted our menu around ingredients sourced from our friends and neighbors.
