    DELIVERY DRIVER JOB DESCRIPTION: 

    ABSOLUTES: 

    • Show up ON TIME, or BEFORE your scheduled shift 

    • Be reliable, prompt, friendly, thorough and organized 

    • Keep the delivery schedule, early is the best on time 

    • Work cooperatively and respectfully with all staff and customers, ALWAYS 

    • NO SHOW, NO CALL, NO JOB (abide by the schedule and get all needed shifts covered) 

    DAILY TASKS: 

    • Organize all pastries in correct carts to be delivered daily 

    • Check for and deliver special orders to Cafes 

    • Check for and deliver wholesale orders on the date due 

    • Bring any items to the warehouse that have been sent from the cafes 

    • Pull items for the cafes 

    • Clean and sanitize driver station area in the bakery 

    • Clean and sanitize all carts daily 

    • Clean and sanitize shelves in the truck daily 

    MAINTENANCE TASKS: 

    • Keep truck gassed up, clean and tidy 

    • Check the oil and other- min once a week or every time you gas up 

    • Sweep and wipe down truck daily 

    • Wash the truck once a week or as needed 

    • Report any maintenance or safety issues immediately for the truck or other 

    • Make trips to the transfer station as needed 

    • Turn in all receipts  

    COMMUNICATION: 

    • Respond to intercompany messages clearly and promptly 

    • Check in with the FOH manager at each location 

    • Work and communicate closely with bakery manager, warehouse manager, and cafe manager teams 

    • Maintain excellent relationships with all cafes, coworkers, and neighbors.  

    • Transport seasonal items or other as needed 

    • Ability to compromise, share suggestions and collaborate 

    JOB  SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS: 

    • Remain 100% cool in traffic- no honking in anger EVER, no aggressive driving 

    (Drive the truck like your grandma is sitting in a chair on wheels in the cargo area) 

    • Be safety conscious- think first 

    • Climb ladders and use small equipment to access platforms within the warehouse 

    • Support others working in the warehouse/bakery and cafes  

    • Strictly maintain FIFO for all products you handle (first in, first out) 

    • Ask for help when needed - if you do not know, ask the question to confirm. (there is too much time lost on fixing things…) 

    • Be knowledgeable of all items in the warehouse and bakery and know their location 

    • Readily support new processes and promote team-oriented environment to enhance productivity, build morale, and control costs. 

    • Ability to ask for help when needed 

    • Ability to lift and carry 50lb up and down stairs
