Job Title: Barista
Reports To: Floor Manager
Job Summary:
Persephone is seeking a detail oriented, creative, and coffee-obsessed individual to join our team as a front of house barista employee. As a barista at Persephone, you are responsible for executing all drinks according to the Persephone coffee standards. With the support of the Persephone team, you will ensure that all visitors are attended to professionally and promptly while making them feel like they are a part of our community.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain a well-informed, working knowledge of the menu in the café and services available, especially related to Intelligentsia Coffee, and communicate that information in a style consistent with The Persephone image.
- Perform barista opening and closing duties, work the cash register, use the POS system Clover, make and deliver drinks.
- Be the resource for all espresso and drink menu related questions.
- Actively communicate with register employees to ensure seamless coffee service.
- Assist with new employee training by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed.
- Work hard with a supportive team to deliver impeccable customer service and connect with our restaurant guests.
