The Linzer torte is believed to have originated in the City of Linz, Austria in the early 1700s. Traditionally this a torte the Linzer Cookies uses the same ingredients as a Linzer Torte, only presented in a different way: two almond flavored cookies are sandwiched together with a layer of jam.
We cut ours into perfect heart shapes and dip them in dark chocolate, making them the perfect Valentine's gift.
